Introduction
This policy has been written to allow users to make informed choices, based on clear and relevant information regarding the use of cookies by this website.
The policy uses the term ‘cookie’ to refer to cookies and similar technologies covered by the law (such as, for example, Local Shared Objects – commonly referred to as “flash cookies”, web beacons or bugs, including transparent clear gifs). The information collected concerns data that could allow users / visitors to be identified through association and processing with data held by third parties (such as, for example, IP address numbers, domain names of computers used by people who connect to the website). This data is used for statistical purposes only.
This document is an integral and substantial part of the Privacy Policy and the information contained therein also released pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679 (GDPR). We therefore invite you to read this document, accessible at the following link: https://www.medinat.it/privacy-policy/
Applicable law
The matter is regulated by the European Directive 2002/58 / EC – subsequently amended by Directive 2009/136 / EC and implemented by the national laws of the Member States of the European Union – which requires, in certain circumstances, to obtain consent for the installation of cookies and similar technologies.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file, usually of letters and numbers, that is downloaded onto a device when the user accesses the website. Cookies are then sent back to the original site on each subsequent visit. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device.
The use of cookies and similar technologies has long been a common factor as cookies are important in the provision of many online services. The use of these technologies is therefore not prohibited by law, but requires that the user be informed about cookies and given the option to accept them or not.
Types of cookies
Cookies can expire at the end of a browser session (that is, from when a user opens the browser window until they exit the browser), or they can be stored for longer.
Session cookies – allow websites to link the actions of a user during a browser session. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as storing what a user has put in their shopping cart while browsing the site. They may also be used for security, when a user logs into internet banking, or to facilitate the use of webmail. These session cookies expire after a browser session.
The use of so-called session cookies (which, in any case, are not stored persistently on the user’s device and are automatically deleted as soon as the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the purposes of transmitting data (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) that identify the specific session and are necessary to allow safe and efficient browsing. The so-called session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other IT techniques that could potentially compromise the privacy of users’ web browsing.
Persistent cookies – are stored on the user’s device between separate browser sessions and allow the user’s actions on a site to be remembered. Persistent cookies can be used for a variety of purposes, including remembering user preferences and choices when using a site (or in some cases across different websites).
“First” and “third party” cookies – Whether a cookie is a ‘first’ or ‘third party’ cookie is strictly connected to the website or domain that uses that particular cookie. “First party” cookies, in essence, are cookies set by the same website visited by the user – i.e. the site displayed in the URL window: in our case, the cookies set by https://www.medinat.it/.
“Third party” cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than the one visited by the user that manages them entirely. Consequently, this site (https://www.medinat.it/) has no control over said cookies, and does not have access to the information collected by them. The information on the use of said cookies and their purposes, as well as on the methods for disabling them, are provided directly by the third parties.
Data Controller
Medinat S.r.l, as identified in the Privacy Policy, is the data controller of – and is responsible for – only its own cookies, i.e. “first party” cookies; otherwise, “third party” cookies are owned by the respective companies, identified according to the table contained in this document.
You can contact the Data Controller at the email address privacy@medinat.it.
Cookie Consent
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the correct functioning of the site (so-called technical cookies) and do not require the user’s consent, such as those to ensure that the content of a page is loaded quickly and effectively, the distribution of the workload between different computers or those aimed at ensuring security.
Other cookies are still reasonably necessary or important, but are not strictly indispensable and, therefore, require the user’s consent.
This site implements various techniques for collecting user consent.
It is possible to select the cookies to which you intend to give your consent by placing the flag on the boxes of the cookie banner, published on the access page to the site, which highlights the use of cookies other than technical ones.
The browser settings represent an additional way to give consent or, conversely, to refuse cookies; the user can set the browser to be warned of the presence of cookies, allowing him to decide whether to accept them or not. You can refuse all cookies by activating the appropriate option within your browser. Each browser highlights instructions for this purpose. For example, below are some links to the online documentation of the main browsers:

Withdrawal of consent
You can withdraw your consent to the use of cookies at any time, although this may impact the functionality of the website.
Which cookies do we use
When managing this website, the Owner uses cookies to offer services, to improve the user experience, as well as to develop aggregate statistics on the data collected for various reasons.
These cookies allow us to distinguish the user of the site from others, help us to improve it and provide a good experience when browsing our site.
The cookies we use are “technical”, “analytical”, “advertising”. They allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to examine how visitors navigate the website when using it. This helps us to improve the way our site works, for example by ensuring that users can easily find what they need.
More specifically, this website uses the types of cookies listed in the table:
- technical cookies: necessary for navigation within the site and to be able to use some functions (for example, to move from one page to another, to log in, etc.).

Name | Domain | Cookie Type | Description | Retention period |
4. advertising cookies: these cookies are used to provide advertising space and can be installed by the Owner or by third parties (e.g. partners and suppliers). Some of them are used to calculate the value of the advertising offer, identify individual advertising messages and know which ones have been selected and when. Other advertising cookies, such as behavioral cookies and retargeting cookies are used to deduce a “profile” of the User and propose personalized advertising messages that are presumably in line with their interests. Some of these cookies are installed by third parties. The process for obtaining consent for these cookies is more complex, but we do everything we can to provide the right information to users and to allow them to make informed choices about what is stored on their device.
