AnapnoGuard AG100s

This control unit serves as a multipurpose airway management system that is highly effective in protecting the lungs and tracheal tissues from infection and tissue injury. When combined with the innovative ET tube, the control unit provides effective and advanced cuff pressure control by continuously monitoring CO2 leaks around and above the airway cuff.

AnapnoGuard Solution: Enhancing Care for Mechanically Ventilated Patients

The AnapnoGuard solution equips clinical staff with essential tools for improved management of mechanically ventilated patients by addressing two critical aspects: automated airway cuff pressure control and effective evacuation of subglottic secretions.

Automated ET Tube Cuff Pressure Control

Cuff pressure management provided by the AnapnoGuard solution ensures optimal tracheal sealing at the minimum necessary cuff pressure. Proper sealing of the trachea allows for effective positive pressure ventilation while minimizing the aspiration of subglottic secretions and reducing the risk of tracheal tissue injuries, such as mucosal edema, ulceration, fistulas, granulomas, and vocal cord injuries.

The AnapnoGuard solution continuously monitors air leakage from the lungs around the airway cuff by measuring CO2 levels in the subglottic space above the cuff. Elevated CO2 levels indicate leakage; therefore, if the system detects a rise in CO2 levels, it automatically increases the cuff pressure to maintain tracheal sealing. Conversely, if no leak is detected, the system gradually decreases the cuff pressure while maintaining an effective seal. The cuff pressure is adjusted within a predetermined range set by the clinician.

In the absence of the AnapnoGuard AG100s control unit, clinicians can easily monitor and adjust ET Tube cuff pressure using the manual digital manometer, the AG Cuffill.

Effective Evacuation of Subglottic Secretions

The AnapnoGuard solution is specifically designed to achieve effective tracheal sealing at minimal cuff pressure while efficiently evacuating subglottic secretions. This dual functionality helps reduce pulmonary aspiration of subglottic secretions, a significant contributor to Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) and Ventilator-Associated Respiratory Infection (VARI).

The AnapnoGuard ET Tube features three unique lumens, in conjunction with the AnapnoGuard AG100s control unit, allowing for simultaneous subglottic rinsing or venting and evacuation of secretions.
